DREAM DIARY
I was in one of the upper floors of a skyscraper that housed a shopping mall with my mom, and we were sort of doing that thing where you meander towards the exit but you’re still looking at things. We enter the elevator (a nice, modern, clean steel thing) and are joined by a man and a small boy. We select the fifth floor, the man selects the second, and the boy selects the first. Everything is going normally, until I realize that we’ve passed the fifth floor. Looking at the control panel, the only options are now the first, second, and third floors. I’m hit with the sudden realization that the elevator has changed to one of those cage-style elevators from the 1930s.
The elevator is bouncing between the first and second floors for what feels like several minutes, before suddenly, it drops. I reassure myself that we’re near the bottom floor, even if there’s a basement we shouldn’t be too injured. Of course, it soon becomes very clear that we’re passing several basement floors, before suddenly dropping into an endless tunnel of lockers stacked tightly on each other, accompanied by sirens and flashing lights.
Then, at some point
dream-me realized that this was a very, very bad sign
and just screamed
“OH NO, YOU STOP THIS RIGHT NOW.”
and then I woke up
